Abstract:
In this talk I will introduce the basic notion of gradient flows and apply it to the Stokes free boundary problem.
The main focus will be to introduce different methods to model and to simulate moving contact lines.
In the setting with sharp interfaces and contact lines, the reduction to thin-film flows will be discussed
